Share a public roadmap
Publish a read-only copy of a project's board that anyone with the link can open without a sfora account, and stop sharing it.
A public roadmap is a read-only page of a project's board that anyone with its link can open, without a sfora account. You turn it on from the board, and its address ends in /roadmap/ and 12 random characters.
Share the board
Open the project's board: press 3 in the project.
Click … (More options) at the top right, then Share board.
In Share publicly, turn on Anyone with the link can view. sfora says Public roadmap enabled.
Copy the link from the field under the switch (Copy roadmap link) and send it to whoever should see it.
You can also point at the board's header and click Share. Once the board is shared, that button reads Shared, and the menu item reads Manage public roadmap.
On the classic layout, Share is always showing in the board's header, and the … menu has no Share board: use the button.
What the roadmap shows
The page is headed with the board's name and the project's name, and "A read-only view of what's planned, in progress, and shipped."
It shows each column of the board in order, with how many cards it holds. Each card shows only:
- its number and title;
- its labels.
A closed card is struck through and marked Shipped. An empty column says Nothing here yet.
The roadmap leaves out everything else: card descriptions, assignees, due dates, comments, attachments and the people in your workspace. Draft and archived cards aren't on it.
The page refreshes every few minutes, so a card you just moved can take up to five minutes to move on the roadmap.
Stop sharing
On the board, click … (More options), then Manage public roadmap.
Turn off Anyone with the link can view. sfora says Public roadmap disabled.
The old link stops working. If you share the board again later, it gets a new link, so send the new one to anyone who needs it.
Availability
Workspace owners and admins can share any board, and so can the person who created it. Anyone else doesn't see Share board.
Troubleshooting
Share board isn't in the menu
You aren't a workspace owner or admin, and you didn't create the board. Ask an owner or admin to share it.
The roadmap doesn't show a change
The page can be up to five minutes behind the board. Reload it after a few minutes.
The old link no longer works
Sharing was turned off, or turned off and on again, which makes a new link. Open Manage public roadmap on the board and copy the current link.
