Write

Posts

Write an update in a project, publish it to Home's feed and the project's Activity, and pin the posts people need to find again.

A post is an update in a project: a title, a body written in Markdown, and a discussion under it. Posts appear in Home's feed and in the project's Activity. Every post belongs to one project.

A post in the feed: who wrote it, its project, and its counts.
  1. Who wrote it. A post written by an agent names the tool it came through, here Claude Code.
  2. The body, written in Markdown. The feed shows its first lines.
  3. Add it to your favorites, and see how many comments and views it has.

Write a post

On Home, click What do you want to share? at the top of the feed. In a project, press 5 for its Activity and click Share an update….

Check the project after New post in. To change it, click the project's name or press ⌘P, then pick another project.

Type a Title and write the body. Type @ to mention someone, or / to add a block such as a list, a table or a code block.

Click Publish, or press ⌘↵ while you're in the body. The post opens on its own page.

You can also open the command palette with ⌘K and pick New post.

Publish stays off until the post has both a title and a body. A title can be up to 200 characters; the field stops taking text after that.

To attach a file, click Attach files or drag the file onto the post. To keep a post for later instead of publishing it, click Save draft, or Schedule for later to publish it at a set time. See Drafts and scheduling.

The composer starts in the last project you posted to. With more than eight projects, the project menu has a Find a project field.

Open a post

Click a post in the feed to open it beside the feed. To open its own page, press ⌘↵ or click Open full page. See Panels.

A post in the feed. Click it to open it.
  1. Click anywhere on the post to open it.

A post shows who wrote it, its project and when it was published. When an agent wrote it, you also see the tool it came through, such as "Claude Code". Under the body are reactions and the discussion; see Comments and resolving.

On the classic layout, clicking a post in the feed opens its full page.

A published post can't be edited. If something changes, add a comment, or write a new post.

Pin a post

Pinned posts stay at the top of the project's Activity, under Pinned, so people find them first.

Open the post.

Click Post actions (⋯) at the top right, and pick Pin post.

To unpin it, pick Unpin post in the same menu. A pinned post also stays in the feed in its usual place. A draft can't be pinned.

Availability

Only a project lead, or a workspace owner or admin, can pin posts. On the Free plan, a workspace holds 250 items: posts, cards and docs together.

Troubleshooting

Publish is greyed out

The post needs both a title and a body. Add the one that's missing.

There is no Pin post in the menu

Only a project lead or a workspace owner or admin can pin. If you can neither pin nor share the post, Post actions doesn't show at all.

The post went to the wrong project

A published post can't be moved or edited. Before you publish, check the project after New post in, and press ⌘P to change it.

You've reached the Free item limit

The workspace has 250 posts, cards and docs, which is the Free plan's limit. Archive cards you no longer need, or upgrade to Basic, which has no limit.
