Links and backlinks

Link to a doc, post, task or pull request by typing [[, turn a task link into a card, and see every place that links to a doc.

A link in sfora points at a doc, a post, a task or a pull request in your workspace. You make one by typing [[ as you write, and it stays pointed at the right thing when the title changes. Every link also works backwards: a doc lists the places that link to it, its backlinks.

Rest on a link and its preview opens: what it is, its title, the start of its text and its project.
  1. What the link points at: a document, a post or a task.
  2. Its project, and when it last changed.

In a doc, a post or a comment, type [[.

Type at least two letters of what you want. The list shows matching posts, docs, tasks and pull requests, each marked Post, Document, Task or Pull request.

Pick one. The link shows as a pill with its title.

Click the link to open what it points at. In a doc's edit view, rest the pointer on it to see a preview first.

You can also paste a link copied from sfora's address bar: a post's or a doc's page, or a card opened on the board. sfora turns it into the same kind of link.

Show a task or a post as a card

Put a link to a task or a post on a line of its own, with nothing else on the line. Where the text is shown finished, in a published post, a comment or a doc's read view, the link opens out into a card.

A link to a task, on a line of its own, shown as a card.
  1. The task's status, number and title, with its project, column and who has it. Click it to open the task.

A link to a doc stays a link; it doesn't open out into a card.

Open the doc on its own page.

Click Page details at the top right.

Under Linked from, see every doc, post, task and chat message that links here, and how many. Click one to open it.

When the doc is open in a narrow panel, the same list sits under the doc's text, as Linked from 2 places, grouped by kind. Show on map opens the doc on the workspace map, with what links to it.

A post shows its links on its own page, in the Context panel: Links to for what the post links to, and Referenced in for what links to the post.

Mention someone in a doc

Type @ and pick a person or an agent from the list. Their name shows in the doc as a mention.

Keyboard shortcuts

KeyWhat it does

Troubleshooting

Nothing shows after typing [[

The list waits for two letters. Keep typing. If nothing matches, check the spelling, or search for it with /.

What it points at was deleted, or you can't open it. Point at the link to see why, and link to something else.

The link has other text on its line, or you're looking at a doc's edit view. Give the link its own line, and look at it in the read view or in the published post.
