Find

Favorites and recent

Star posts to keep them close, find them in the sidebar or on the Favorites page, and get back to chats and docs you opened lately.

Favorites are posts you've starred so you can find them again quickly. The recent lists in the command palette take you back to the chats and docs you opened lately. Both are yours alone: nobody else sees what you starred or opened.

Star a post

Open the post and click the star under it, next to its comment and view counts. The star fills in. Click it again to remove the post from your favorites.

Only posts can be starred.

Find your favorites

Your starred posts are in three places:

  • The sidebar. In the Home tab, Favorites lists them above Projects. It appears once you've starred a post. See The sidebar.
  • The Favorites page. Press ⌘K, then pick Favorites under Jump to. It lists every post you starred, grouped by the day it last had activity, with its project. Click a post to open it beside the list, or click its star to remove it. The back arrow (←) at the top takes you to Home.
  • The command palette. Open it with ⌘K and, before you type, Favorites shows up to five of them.

Go back to something you opened

Open the palette and, before you type, it lists:

  • Recently viewed: up to five chats you opened lately, newest first.
  • Recent posts: up to five posts with the newest activity in your projects.
  • Recent notes: up to five docs you opened lately, newest first.

Use ↑ and ↓ to pick one, and ↵ to open it. Each group shows only when it has something in it.

The chats and docs you opened are remembered in this browser, on this device. Another browser, or another device, keeps its own list.

Troubleshooting

Favorites isn't in the sidebar

It appears in the sidebar's Home tab once you've starred a post. Star one, and check that the sidebar is on its Home tab.

A chat or doc you opened isn't under Recently viewed or Recent notes

The palette shows the five you opened most recently, in this browser. If you opened it on another device or in another browser, it's in that one's list. To find it here, type a word from it in the palette.

A post shows under Recent posts though you haven't opened it

Recent posts lists the posts with the newest activity in your projects, whether you've opened them or not. To keep a post close, star it.
