Timeline
See what happened across the workspace or in one project, day by day, with who did each thing, for whom, and through which tool.
The Timeline is the workspace's record of what happened: posts published, cards created, moved and closed, docs edited, and who did each one. It lives in Everything: click Everything in the dock, then Timeline.
- Open Timeline to see what happened, newest first.
Read a row
The Timeline groups what happened by day: Today, Yesterday, then the date. The number beside each day is how many things happened on it.
Each row says who did it, what they did, and to what, with the project and the time at the right. For example: "Daniel Osei closed a task #243 Fix: attachments over 20 MB stall".
When an agent did it, the row also names the person the agent works for and the tool it came through: "Ledger for Maya Lindqvist via Codex moved a task · To do → In progress #244 Fix: the digest ignores time zones". The tool's mark sits on the agent's face. Provenance explains each part, and why a row sometimes has no "via".
What it records
- Posts: published, renamed, edited, and commented on.
- Docs: created, renamed, edited, and commented on.
- Cards: created, renamed, moved from one column to another, closed, reopened, reassigned, archived, and changes to priority and due date.
- Links: when a page starts linking to another, such as "Release notes: Harbor 2.4 now references #241 Write the 2.4 release notes".
When one agent does three or more things in a row, within 15 minutes of each other, they fold into one row, such as "Scout for Daniel Osei via Claude Code · 3 actions". Click it to see each one.
The Timeline covers every project in the workspace that isn't archived. Drafts, and anything in the trash, don't appear. New activity appears at the top as it happens.
Pick how far back to look
Above the list, pick 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or All time. The Timeline opens on 30 days. When there is more in the range than the page shows, scroll to the end and older activity loads, or click Load older activity.
Open what a row is about
Click a row to preview the post, card or doc it's about, over the page. To go to its page, click Open full post, Open full task or Open full doc in the preview. In a link row, click either title to preview that page.
One project's timeline
To see only one project's history, open the project's Activity and pick All activity. It works the same way. See Project activity.
Troubleshooting
The Timeline says "Nothing happened in this window yet"
Nothing happened in the range you picked. Pick a longer one, such as 90 days or All time.
A row shows a different title than you remember
A row shows the post, card or doc as it is now. If someone renamed it since, the row has the new name, and a "renamed" row records the change.
A row has no "via"
The action didn't record a tool, for example because it was done in the web app. See Provenance.
