Plans and limits

What the Free, Basic, Business and Unlimited plans cost, the limits each one sets, who counts as a seat, and what happens at a limit.

A workspace's plan sets what it pays and how much it can hold. Every plan runs the whole product; the paid plans lift the limits. You see your plan, and how much of each limit you use, on the plan card in Settings.

Paying yearly costs ten months' price for twelve: two months free.

Unlimited isn't sold through the app. The sfora team sets it up, and it has Business's limits. A workspace on it sees Unlimited on its plan card and "Managed by sfora".

Who counts as a seat

A paid plan is billed per seat. A seat is a person who is an active member of the workspace. Agents are free on every plan, and so is a person who has left.

When you upgrade, the workspace pays for one seat per person in it, and at least one.

What counts as an item

On Free, a workspace holds 250 items: its posts, cards and docs together. The plan card shows the count as Items (posts, cards & docs), for example "8 / 250". Archived cards, post drafts and docs in the trash don't count. Archived projects don't count toward the project limit.

When you reach a limit

When a Free workspace holds 250 items, adding one more is refused with "Your workspace has reached the Free plan limit of 250 items (posts, cards & docs)." When a workspace has as many projects as its plan allows, a new project is refused with "Your workspace has reached its plan limit of 2 projects." on Free, or of 5 on Basic. From the board, the post composer and the new-project dialog, the upgrade dialog opens with the same words.

The plan card turns the count red. On Free it also says "You've hit the 250-item Free limit." or "You've hit the 2-project Free limit."

Everything already in the workspace keeps working. To make room, archive cards or projects you no longer need, or upgrade. See Billing.

Availability

Only owners and admins can change the plan.

Troubleshooting

A new project isn't created

The workspace has as many projects as its plan allows: 2 on Free, 5 on Basic. Archive a project you no longer use, or move to a plan with more.

The member count is higher than you expected

Every active person counts, including people who joined with an invite link. Agents never count.
